Client: L’Oreal Paris

Role Summary: 

A dedicated layer of oversight for the Creator Management team on L’Oreal Paris in partnership with the Integrated Strategy category leads and VP, Brand Lead. One brand, three distinct product categories and teams.

Directors are senior leaders overseeing a portfolio of campaigns under one brand account as well as the dedicated creator management team. They develop talent, ensure operational excellence, influence strategic decisions through executional insight, and own high-complexity or VIP workstreams.

Core Responsibilities

Campaign and Strategic Leadership

  • Review and validate creator mixes, budgets, and content approaches for feasibility and alignment with performance learnings.

    • Approve creator plans contributed to these proposals.

  • Lead mid-to-large campaigns with full ownership of execution and outcomes.

  • Own VIP/Celeb campaign execution.

  • Oversee teamwide administrative accuracy and resolve escalated issues across legal, finance, and operations.

Creator Relationship Management

  • Serve as the escalation point for Managers, Specialists, and Associates.

  • Builds and maintains senior-level creator relationships to support retention, exclusivity, and long-term brand partnerships.

Team Leadership & People Management

  • Holds team accountable to quality, timelines, and communication standards while developing future leaders.

Client & Business Ownership

  • Acts as a trusted executional partner to the client, proactively identifying risks, tradeoffs, and opportunities within creator programs.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee creator management team resourcing, workflow prioritization, and cross-functional alignment with Account Management, Strategy, Legal, Finance, and Operations.

  • Implement brand-specific SOPs for vetting, negotiations, SAG, reconciliation, audits, etc.

  • Execution Quality: Oversees a brand-specific portfolio of campaigns with excellence, ensuring consistency, quality, and reliability across all workstreams they lead or supervise.

  • Communication Quality: Leads client conversations confidently; provides clear, concise updates and direction to both internal teams and creators; sets the communication standard for the department.

  • Administrative Accuracy: Champions and enforces operational excellence across the team, ensuring all campaigns meet audit, contracting, and budget expectations.

  • Issue Resolution & Judgment: Serves as the escalation point for complex or high-risk issues; provides strong directional guidance and prevents recurring problems through process improvements.

  • Team, Client & Creator Relationship Impact: Strengthens long-term client and creator relationships; fosters a supportive, accountable, high-performing team environment.

  • Leadership & Growth Signals: Demonstrates strong people leadership; grows and develops team members; influences cross-functional decisions; drives operational improvements and departmental maturity.

  • Focus specifically on stabilizing the Creator Management layer to LOP. With leadership, re-architect the Creator Management function underneath, with defined swim lanes, standardized workflows, and clearer escalation paths.

  • Success Looks Like: Fewer “who owns this?” moments, reduced swirl, brand feedback that things feel clearer.

360 Days- Durable model has been created and is operating

  • Success Looks Like: Higher CM retention + satisfaction, brand trust, less senior level involvement, system running without daily intervention
